You Are A Work in Progress
You believe writing’s your passion and you know you should follow your bliss. But how can you find bliss in the middle of work and family obligations?
Writing mentors and gurus agree everyone’s got a book in them. But how can you best excavate your memories to craft that mind-blowing, soul-rendering memoir?
Writing groups will tell you the only way to get started writing is to just write. But how do you pen meaningful prose like a best-selling author instead of cranking out worn-out words?
No matter what the self-help gurus say, you’ll never manifest better writing with your mind. But go ahead and ohmmmmm about it if it makes you feel better.
Just know there is a better way to write your stories. You only need the right tools and some guidance.
Learn the Art of Self-Discovery Through Memoir Writing
You’ve put off writing because it hasn’t been easy.
You crave the power to produce provocative, unconventional words.
Fearless writing.
To tell your story and captivate an audience. But your writing’s become a chore. Tedious. Sometimes it even feels like downright torture.
What if you were as eager to tell your story as you were to fill out that locked diary from grade school? You know—the one where you kept your glitter stickers and proclaimed your secret crush on Johnny in your purple gel pen.
Now imagine a revitalizing revision process—not a bunch of raw red marks scrawled across your new manuscript. Picture yourself inside a Choose Your Own Adventure novel. One where you make cuts along dotted lines. Or arrange all your favorite elements like a scrapbook collage. There will be challenges ahead, but you’ll be ready to meet them with enthusiasm.
Throw in some artistic touches and a dash of crafty know-how, Maybe even bring in some bling. Fold it up into the perfect paper airplane that lands right in the laps of your biggest reading fans.
Or tuck it away for your grandchildren to discover in 50 years.
Creating your memoir can feel that powerful—and exciting!
And I can show you how to make it happen.

Who Are You?
Hi. I’m Blissom (or April),
That’s who!
(You can check out the story behind my two names here)
Since 2011, I've been getting naked by telling my stories. It's a scary process. I’ve had to ask myself: Can I write about my body? My miscarriage? My medical traumas? My health journey? Motherhood?
You know, all those things that leave a woman feeling exposed.
Overcoming fear is necessary for getting started. And if you continue to write, you’ll need plenty of stamina and endurance to get you through the editing process, too.
Being a writer is so much more than sticking sentences on a page, fingers crossed, hoping for the best. You may feel like you're carrying a boulder up a mountain, naked. But you can do it! Not the naked boulder part, but definitely crafting rough drafts and making revisions.
Revisions are the best part. Here’s where you’ll give your writing a shape. And learn that your words can be both courageous and vulnerable.
You’re creating a forever time capsule.
You, naked.
When you’re ready, I’ll help you get started.
Or you can learn more about me and what I do by jumping over to my about page.
